These Additional Features can be added to any standard SomnoDent® appliance
At SomnoMed, we understand that patients needs are diverse and varied, which is why we offer a number of additional options to the bench-mark design of the SomnoDent® MAS. For specific cases, these additions may improve treatment efficacy and comfort.

Elastic Retention:Allows orthodontic elastics to be attached to hooks on both sides to help hold the patient’s mouth in a closed position. This may be useful for mouth breathers or patients who sleep in the supine position.

Vertical Adjustment:
Has an anterior ‘ramp’ built onto the upper plate, designed to disclude the posterior region. Some dentists feel that this is beneficial for patients who brux.

Partial Lateral Movement
Some dentists feel that partial lateral movement is a desired addition to the SomnoDent® MAS. It is suggested that this can further minimise any possible TMJ discomfort although this has not been clinically validated.
