Sleep 2010 - San Antonio
SomnoMed- industry leader in Dental Sleep Medicine
“SomnoMed has achieved profitability and developed a sustainable global business model, now we are focusing on accelerating performance, product development and innovation”
Ralf Barschow, C.E.O of SomnoMed Limited.
The annual conference, ‘SLEEP 2010’ remains the focus point for the Dental and the Medical Sleep fraternity to discuss the latest developments in diagnosis and treatment solutions for sleep disordered breathing conditions. Over 650 delegates attended the dental sleep conference of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, (AADSM) and more than 5000 delegates joined the medical sleep conference Associated Professional Sleep Societies (APSS).
SomnoMed once again participated at both events with our staff and executives from the US, Australia, Germany, Sweden and Japan. All exhibition activities were enforcing the SomnoDent MAS as a clinically proven, patient compliant therapy solution and treatment option for Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). The dental exhibition proved an excellent launching pad for SomnoBrux’s introduction to the North American market.
The SLEEP 2010 conference was also the platform for the world’s introduction and launch of the Remote Controlled Mandibular Positioner (RCMP). A joint development and collaboration between SomnoMed Limited and the University of Calgary, the RCMP is a predictive device invented by Prof. John Remmers.
Sleep laboratories will now be able to measure and titrate the SomnoDent MAS by remote control while the patient sleeps to ensure optimum protrusion and an immediate, effective and predictable reduction of that patient’s AHI. Just like the sleep technician would measure the effectiveness of CPAP treatment during the sleep test, it will now be possible to do the same with the SomnoDent MAS.
“The RCMP will answer the question of a predictable outcome for every SomnoDent MAS patient “, says Ralf Barschow .“ It confirms our leading role as an innovator in Dental Sleep Medicine worldwide. Sleep technicians and Sleep physicians will be able to control, prove and measure the immediate clinical results of the SomnoDent MAS “.
At the commencement of the meeting, SomnoMed again hosted the SomnoMed Appreciation Dinner with over 250 participants. Recognizing customer loyalty and support is very important to SomnoMed as the company celebrated its 6th anniversary since inception.
“Our key message to our customers has always been that non compliant CPAP patients now have a professional, clinically proven treatment alternative that is non-invasive, comfortable and effective.” Ralf Barschow, C.E.O of SomnoMed Limited.
