The world's leading oral appliance company
SomnoMed was formed in
2004 to
commercialise
its mandibular advancement splint, the SomnoDent.
We now manufacture and design a
premium range of oral appliances
for the treatment of Sleep Disordered Breathing (SDB), relieving such conditions as:
Obstructive Sleep Apnea
Bruxism (Teeth Grinding)
Our Flagship product
Established in 2004 following
7 years of clinical research
, we launched the gold standard in oral appliance therapy for the treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
SomnoMed wholly owns all intellectual property rights to the SomnoDent, which was originally developed by orthodontist Dr Richard Palmisano.
An evidence based approach
We continue to conduct research and development projects to provide further
clinical evidence
to support the use of our products.
Research is conducted
independently
at such institutions as the Sydney Dental Hospital and the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital SA. We also have an
in-house research and development facility
at our head office in Crows Nest, which focuses on adding to our innovative range of oral appliance treaments.
Our global reach
We currently have over
50,000 patients worldwide,
under SomnoDent therapy. This number continues to grow with a population that is increasing in weight and age and is seeking modern treatments compatable with their lifestyles.
We now operate in
20 countries
throughout the world through our wholly owned subsidiaries in Australia, Singapore, Philippines, Japan, USA and Europe.
A bright future
We continue to grow as we expand globally and are recognised by clinicians as providing
safe, clinically proven
and
effective
treatments for SDB patients.
